Random Otaku Games, LLC is an online independent game development company, located in Lorain, Ohio.

Like every gamer out there, we love games. We love everything there is about them, and we especially love playing them. Action games, adventure games, strategy games, sports… the list goes on and on. And we’re not just talking video games either. Many of us still have bags full of dice, a closet or two full of old and well worn board games, and an unnatural fascination with card decks. 

ROG was founded with one overall desire: to make games. Pretty self explanatory, right? We’re a game company, so therefore we should be making games. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure that out. But we’re not satisfied with just making games. ANYONE can do that…

We are here to make the BEST games. The games that people still play long after the latest craze has burned itself out. The games that hold a place of honor among other titles, not because it made gazillions of dollars, or has legions of players, but because they are just plain fun to play, no matter how old or how many times they’ve been beaten. Those are the best games. Those are what we strive to create.

 

But that’s not our only reason for being here.

We are here for another reason: To give those with a passion for games the chance they need to get into the industry. All of us here at ROG have, over the years, seen far too many talented graduates give up their dreams simply because no one would give them the opportunity to shine, to showcase their abilities and creativity, to give them the two critical things they need to get into this industry: experience and recognition.

We strive to provide students and graduates the experience and the coveted “name in a game” that the industry looks for when hiring new talent.

For those aspiring game artists, programmers, designers, and many others, the only game they experience after graduation is the rejection game, and that is one game that we refuse to play.
